SHY host Regional Clusters Advisory Board (RCAB) Meeting May 2023

Space Hub Yorkshire with The University of Leeds were proud to host the RCAB meeting May 2023. The meeting was extremely successful with valuable engagement from Government departments the LEP network and local communities.

The Regional Clusters Advisory Board (RCAB – the Group) has an important role in helping to deliver the Satellite Application Catapult’s Regional Growth objectives by providing advice and recommendations on the strategic direction of space clusters growth across the UK.

RCAB provide a forum for information sharing and collaboration between Government
departments including Department for Business Energy and industrial Strategy (BEIS), UKSA, Department for International Trade (DIT) and regional growth bodies including the Catapult, the Devolved Administrations, the LEP Network and local communities; with the explicit objective of aligning the space sector with the Government’s levelling up objectives and the ambition set out in the National Space Strategy to create a whole UK space ecosystem.

SHY look forward to hosting the RCAB meeting again the future.
