Major New Funding Opportunity for UK Space Innovation
A major new funding opportunity has opened for innovative space organisations across the UK, with the UK Space Agency launching National Space Innovation Programme (NSIP) Call 3.
With up to £20 million in funding available, the programme is designed to support high-risk, high-reward projects with the potential to develop new space technologies, satellite applications and space-related services, helping innovative ideas move closer to commercialisation.
The call is open to UK-based businesses, universities and research organisations, with projects welcomed across the space sector. While the programme is open to a wide range of innovative proposals, the UK Space Agency has identified Space Domain Awareness and In-Orbit Assembly and Manufacture as key areas of focus for this call.
This represents an exciting opportunity for organisations across the Space Hub Yorkshire cluster to secure support for ambitious R&D projects, develop new technologies and applications, and build partnerships that can help bring innovative ideas to market.
At Space Hub Yorkshire, we can help cluster members explore whether their project could be a good fit for the opportunity, understand the application requirements, identify potential partners and collaborators, and connect with organisations across our network to help strengthen a consortium or project proposal.
If you have an innovative space technology, application or service in development and are considering applying, get in touch with Space Hub Yorkshire here to discuss your ideas and how we can support your application.
The deadline for outline proposals is 11:59pm on Friday 21 August 2026.
