Leonardo, a global leader in aerospace, defence and security, has opened a series of innovation challenges aimed at identifying and supporting breakthrough technologies with future commercial and strategic potential.
Through its Solvers Wanted programme, innovators are invited to submit ideas and technologies that could help address challenges in areas including space, artificial intelligence, advanced materials, photonics, sensing systems and advanced computing. The initiative is focused on collaborative technology development, providing an opportunity for organisations to work alongside a major international industry partner to mature and validate innovative concepts.
Current challenges include opportunities related to sustainable space operations and lunar resource utilisation, advanced photonic technologies, and next-generation AI, sensing and resilient materials technologies.
Successful applicants may receive up to €50,000 in initial funding, alongside access to industrial collaboration opportunities, innovation networks, supplier engagement pathways and wider funding support.
Application deadlines fall in September 2026.
