Stephen Crow
One of the leading movers and shakers in the region, over many years Steve has developed a detailed understanding of the economic landscape in terms of structure and change dynamic. He leverages this to provide insights and opportunities for clients and contacts.
He has over 30 years’ experience working for seven different professional services partnerships; 11 of which have been in a Big 4 environment. His original education was in engineering, and was a qualified design engineer/project manager working on major international projects including in aerospace. His career to date splits in to thirds – engineering, Big 4 and finally 11 years in law as Clarions strategy/Business Development Director
He has expertise in all aspects of strategy, business development, marketing and communications; leveraging this expertise to support client growth strategies. He is currently working with several major regional businesses to help pivot business models to navigate rapidly changing economic challenges/opportunities
Steve has worked with the management team of SHY to accelerate private sector engagement, leveraging his senior level contacts in both the upstream and downstream markets.
Steve is also a NED on the University of Leeds International School and Entrepreneurial School, as well as NED for Yorkshire Rewilding Network.
He is passionate about reinforcing links between Northern academia and the private sectors particular around skills and innovation alignment.
