Space Hub Yorkshire is encouraging organisations across Yorkshire’s space sector to explore the latest funding opportunity from the UK Space Agency (UKSA).
The International Bilateral Fund (IBF) Call 3 is now open for applications, offering up to £1.5 million per project to support ambitious international space collaborations that strengthen the UK’s global relationships, showcase UK space capabilities, and deliver mutual benefits for both the UK and partner countries.
Building on the success of previous rounds, Call 3 will support larger, longer-term projects of up to 18 months in duration, beginning on 1 April 2027. Projects must include at least one formal international partner, with funding aimed at fostering impactful collaborations between UK organisations and overseas counterparts.
Key dates for applicants include:
- Applicant Webinar: 8 September 2026
- Optional Expression of Interest Deadline: 14 September 2026
- Application Deadline: 4 November 2026 (15:00)
- Funding Decisions: February 2027
- Project Start Date: 1 April 2027
Due to anticipated demand, organisations are limited to one application per lead organisation, making early planning and consortium development particularly important.
