An outcomes-focused workshop of real-world challenges / problem statements looking for space-based data solutions, for end users & experts
Join this free workshop to meet experts from across industry, policy and academia to hear about current and emerging technology, tools and platforms that address real-world challenges of UK resilience and environmental security across all sectors – including yours.
After a networking lunch, the programme will feature an introductory panel of presentations: ‘The role of data from space in resilience solutions today and in the future’.
It will be followed by a number of real-world challenges / problem statements posed by potential end users who want to know whether space-based data applications can offer solutions.
Before the event, you will have the chance to choose which breakout session you want to join depending on the challenge / problem statement that best matches your needs or capabilities.
Key insights and ideas for potential next steps will be captured by facilitators and shared back in the main conference room.
After the event summaries will be shared with all attendees and invitations to express interest in pursuing one or more potential next steps.
The organisers are leading bodies in UK Earth Observation and the space sector: Space4Climate, UK Space Agency, National Centre for Earth Observation and Space South Central.

Thanks to the support of the ICMA Centre at Henley Business School, we are pleased to host the workshop at the prestigious International Capital Market Association Centre, University of Reading Whiteknights Campus (RG6 6UR).
Our host is Simone Varotto, Professor of Finance, Head of the Climate and Finance Research Cluster, Programme Director of MSc Climate Change, Sustainable Business and Green Finance, and Programme Director of MSc Finance and Financial Technology (FinTech) at Henley Business School which is one of the larger specialist university finance departments in Europe.
BOOKING DEADLINE
Registration will close on Monday, June 15, and capacity is limited to one named person from each organisation, allocated on a first come first served basis. We will run a waitlist in case more places are available after June 15.
