10 Years of the Priestley Centre for Climate Futures

This event marks a decade of collaboration, innovation and impact across the climate research community. It is an opportunity to celebrate our collective achievements, while looking ahead to the action required over the next 10 years and beyond.
Following the keynote, delivered by Priestley Centre Director, Professor Piers Forster CBE, a panel discussion will be chaired by Professor Jason Lowe, bringing together influential voices from academia, policy, finance, industry and youth activism. Panellists include Piers and:
· Chris Stark CBE, Head of the UK’s Mission for Clean Power, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero
· Libby Peake, Head of Resource Policy at Green Alliance and member of the Government’s Circular Economy Taskforce
· Dr David Wilkinson, Climate Lead at the Bank of England
· Pim Sullivan-Tailyour, Director of the UK Youth Climate Coalition

UK-EONS attended to support our colleagues at the University of Leeds and to engage with the speakers in attendance. The event provided an opportunity to hear more from the Priestley Centre and learn more about their work.
