SUMMARY:Bi-Annual UK Space Ecosystem Collaborators Event
DESCRIPTION:This is the bi-annual event for members of the UK Space Ecosystem to connect and work together on future collaborative projects. The event is being hosted by Space North East and the Satellite Applications Catapult and will focus on Advanced Connectivity Technologies and will bring together regional businesses and organisations within the thematic area to workshop opportunities within this area. \nThese invite only events take place every six months\, and are an opportunity for representatives from all Clusters and Connected Capability Network Teams to come together in person with the Catapult\, UKSA and guests to share insights\, intelligence\, best practice and lessons learnt. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOver the last few years we have themed these events and invited external speakers to focus on a particular topic area such as Sustainability (Edinburgh\, May 2023)\, Resilient Communications (Leeds\, June 2024)\, and Landscape of Business Support for SMEs (Nottingham\, December 2025). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis time\, the theme is on Advanced Connectivity Technologies\, and is being hosted by Space North East and the Satellite Applications Catapult with the aim of reviewing the space landscape’s developments in recent years and preparing for the sector’s upcoming needs and changes.

DESCRIPTION:The Yorkshire Regional Defence & Security Cluster (YRDSC) is set to launch on June 10\, 2026. This initiative is a collaboration between industry\, academia\, local government\, and the Ministry of Defence\, aimed at strengthening the UK’s defense industrial base through regional collaboration with defense and security stakeholders. The cluster will encourage innovation\, regional growth\, and the development of sustainable partnerships across sectors. It will also unlock commercial opportunities and attract investment\, supporting SME engagement and open pathways for non-traditional suppliers. The YRDSC will influence national policy and investment decisions from a Yorkshire perspective\, stimulating greater sector knowledge\, business\, and economic growth across the region. Membership will be free and open to both those supplying into the sector and those seeking to supply into the defense and security sector. \n  \nThis event is closed to the public.

SUMMARY:ESERO Exploring Earth Orbit Data for a sustainable (Stage 2)
DESCRIPTION:This STEM programme will introduce 120 students to the use of ESA Sentinel satellite data for monitoring water bodies\, vegetation\, and pollution. The project will involve 60 primary school students from Greetland Academy and 60 secondary school students from Halifax Academy\, who will use space-based data to analyse environmental conditions and pollution in Calderdale\, West Yorkshire. \nSpace Hub Yorkshire delivers space education\, connecting students with real ESA Sentinel satellite data to develop environmental monitoring\, digital skills\, and awareness of space applications addressing local sustainability challenges in Calderdale. \nThis event is closed to the public.

DESCRIPTION:EO Summit 2026 is a one-day conference taking place on Monday 22 June 2026 at The Brewery\, London. The event brings together the Earth Observation community and end-user organisations to explore practical applications of satellite data across business\, climate and the environment. With sessions covering climate risk\, insurance\, infrastructure\, greenhouse-gas monitoring\, agriculture\, nature monitoring\, disaster response and defence. \nThis year’s summit is structured around two main strands: an Enterprise Track\, covering areas such as insurance and risk\, energy and infrastructure\, agriculture and the environment; and an Innovation Track\, exploring disaster management\, defence and security\, and emerging EO applications.
