SUMMARY:Unlocking Earth Observation for Sustainability – Learning\, Innovation & Action for the East of England
DESCRIPTION:Space Ea  is the Space cluster for the 6 counties of the East of England\, a regional that is ideally placed to reap the benefits of Earth Observation (EO) satellite technology due to a combination of geographical\, environmental\, economic\, and institutional factors. As such\, Space East has been undertaking projects with partners across agri\, marine and energy sector to promote awareness of EO and to identify stakeholders\, use cases and opportunities for action. Sustainability is the theme that underpins the challenges in these adjacent sectors and despite our work\, there is still a lack of awareness and understanding of the benefits and opportunities of adoption across the region. \nWe seek to address this through a dynamic\, cross-sector event:\nUnlocking Earth Observation for Sustainability – Learning\, Innovation & Action for the East of England \nThis one-day event will introduce participants to the fundamentals of Earth Observation satellite technology and explore its real-world applications across agriculture\, marine science\, energy\, climate\, and land management. Hosted at the University of East Anglia (UEA)—a hub for environmental science and innovation—the event will empower individuals\, businesses\, and public sector bodies to better understand and access EO tools that support sustainability\, productivity\, and resilience. \nEvent Purpose \nThis event aims to: \n\nDemystify EO technology for new users\nDemonstrate real-world applications in sectors that matter to the region\nEnable informed adoption of EO data and services\nConnect diverse stakeholders for collaboration\, innovation\, and future growth\n\nThis event features a range of expert speakers from across the private\, public and academic sectors from organisations including Airbus\, Satellite Applications Catapult\, CEFAS\, Fenland Soil\, ESA\, Orbis Energy\, Lampata and Space4Climate \nClick here for the Agenda \nWhether you are a business leader\, land manager\, researcher\, student\, policymaker\, or tech innovator\, this event is designed to meet you where you are in your EO journey. \nWhy Earth Observation\, Why Now? \nEarth Observation satellites provide invaluable insights on: \n\nLand use and agricultural health\nCoastal and marine ecosystems\nInfrastructure\, energy assets\, and offshore wind\nClimate change\, carbon\, and environmental risk\n\nFor the East of England\, these capabilities are especially important in tackling: \n\nCoastal erosion and flood management\nAgricultural efficiency and environmental compliance\nMarine habitat conservation and sustainable fisheries\nPlanning and monitoring renewable energy infrastructure\n\nYet EO remains underused in the region due to lack of awareness\, skills\, and access. This event aims to change that. \nWho Should Attend? \n\nBusiness leaders (agri-tech\, offshore\, energy\, consultancy\, infrastructure)\nPublic sector organisations (local councils\, environmental teams\, planners)\nResearchers and academics\nStudents and early career professionals\nNGOs\, community groups\, and educators\n\nNo prior experience with satellite data is required. This event is for both learners and leaders. \nEvent Objectives \n\nExplain what EO is in accessible\, engaging ways\nHighlight regional success stories and real-world examples\nExplore sector opportunities across land\, sea\, and infrastructure\nShow how to get started with EO data\, tools\, and support\nSpark collaboration across disciplines and industries\n\nThis event is part of the UK-EONS project. \nTo find out more see the agenda in the file linked below: \nEO Conference Agenda

SUMMARY:Space Tech Assembly: Monitoring Our Planet\, Sustaining Tomorrow
DESCRIPTION:How can Earth Observation (EO) and SpaceTech help us overcome real-world sustainability challenges? \nJoin us on 30th September in Leeds for a powerful day of insights\, inspiration\, and collaboration as we explore how EO data can unlock sustainable impact across industries\, and what’s holding it back. \nCo-hosted by UK-EONS and West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA)\, in collaboration with Space Hub Yorkshire\, this event brings together leaders from the space sector and UK industries to examine how EO technologies are being used to monitor our planet\, drive environmental decision-making\, and build more sustainable systems. A key focus will be on the barriers that still prevent wider EO adoption\, from data accessibility and integration to sector-specific awareness and policy gaps\, and how we can begin to break them down. \nThrough expert talks\, case studies\, and cross-sector networking\, you’ll discover how EO is being used today to monitor our planet\, guide environmental decision-making\, and create smarter\, more resilient systems. \nWhether you’re a policymaker\, innovator\, business leader\, or just EO-curious — come ready to rethink what’s possible. \nAgenda and Full List of Speakers Coming Soon. For now\, get your hands on a ticket – we know they’re going to go fast!\n \nThis event took place on the 30th of September. SUMMARY:Bridging Non‑Terrestrial (NTN) and Terrestrial (TN) Networks for Autonomous\, Connected Infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:A national workshop uniting space\, telecoms & autonomy sectors to accelerate NTN–TN integration for next‑gen connected infrastructure.\nUK‑ACE event brings together leaders from space\, telecoms\, autonomy\, government\, academia and standards bodies to accelerate the integration of Non‑Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Terrestrial Networks (TN)\, helping shape the UK’s future resilient\, secure and scalable connectivity. Building on the energy and insights from previous UK‑ACE workshops\, this event moves the programme from exploration to action. Together\, we’ll explore the architectures\, standards\, regulatory needs and real‑world applications that will enable next‑generation autonomous and connected systems across the UK. \nThis event forms part of the UK Autonomous Connected Earth (UK‑ACE) network\, delivered by UKRI Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and the Satellite Applications Catapult. UK‑ACE is a national initiative connecting six of the UK’s premier space clusters to drive innovation in autonomy\, connectivity and satellite‑enabled technologies. The network focuses on bringing organisations together\, sharing expertise and supporting the development of hybrid terrestrial and non‑terrestrial connectivity. This sits within the wider UK Space Ecosystem\, in partnership with the Satellite Applications Catapult\, and continues our shared mission to help organisations across the UK explore new opportunities in connectivity\, autonomy and space‑enabled services. \nDr. Viktor Doychinov will represent the University of Bradford and Space Hub Yorkshire during Panel Session 2: Opportunities and Innovation Across the Ecosystem. He will discuss research and innovation in the integration of 5G/6G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Terrestrial Networks (TN)\, the development of Space Test North\, and the role of Space Hub Yorkshire in supporting and strengthening the regional space ecosystem.
