SUMMARY:Bridging Non‑Terrestrial (NTN) and Terrestrial (TN) Networks for Autonomous\, Connected Infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:A national workshop uniting space\, telecoms & autonomy sectors to accelerate NTN–TN integration for next‑gen connected infrastructure.\nUK‑ACE event brings together leaders from space\, telecoms\, autonomy\, government\, academia and standards bodies to accelerate the integration of Non‑Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Terrestrial Networks (TN)\, helping shape the UK’s future resilient\, secure and scalable connectivity. Building on the energy and insights from previous UK‑ACE workshops\, this event moves the programme from exploration to action. Together\, we’ll explore the architectures\, standards\, regulatory needs and real‑world applications that will enable next‑generation autonomous and connected systems across the UK. \nThis event forms part of the UK Autonomous Connected Earth (UK‑ACE) network\, delivered by UKRI Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and the Satellite Applications Catapult. UK‑ACE is a national initiative connecting six of the UK’s premier space clusters to drive innovation in autonomy\, connectivity and satellite‑enabled technologies. The network focuses on bringing organisations together\, sharing expertise and supporting the development of hybrid terrestrial and non‑terrestrial connectivity. This sits within the wider UK Space Ecosystem\, in partnership with the Satellite Applications Catapult\, and continues our shared mission to help organisations across the UK explore new opportunities in connectivity\, autonomy and space‑enabled services. \nDr. Viktor Doychinov will represent the University of Bradford and Space Hub Yorkshire during Panel Session 2: Opportunities and Innovation Across the Ecosystem. He will discuss research and innovation in the integration of 5G/6G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Terrestrial Networks (TN)\, the development of Space Test North\, and the role of Space Hub Yorkshire in supporting and strengthening the regional space ecosystem.
